NEUROPATHOLOGY WORKSHOP

At the neuropathology workshop, participants will gain an understanding of the basic neuropathological features of age associated neurodegenerative diseases.

COMMON FEATURES OF NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES:
EXPLORING THE BRAIN-EYE CONNECTION AND BEYOND 

Co-chaired by Guojun Bu, Adriana Di Polo and Todd E. Golde, this working group seeks to discuss and identify knowledge and barriers to bridging ocular neuroscience with the broader field of neurodegenerative diseases. It will provide thoughtful guidance to investigators seeking to meaningfully incorporate the idea of interdisciplinary research in their own research programs.

AD/PDTM 2017 IMAGING SATELLITE

Co-chaired by Michael Weiner and Ken Marek, this symposium will highlight the latest cutting edge methods and results using MRI and PET imaging for the diagnosis and therapy monitoring of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. The symposium will cover the pathological basis of imaging, imaging and genetics, molecular imaging of amyloid and tau, therapy monitoring and safety monitoring. Attendees will gain a detailed knowledge of the latest technology and a sense of how imaging will play a future role in the evaluation of AD and PD.
